Jenna Tanenbaum

Jenna Tanenbaum is a self-described technology nerd with an interest in supply chain management. So it's not surprising that the College of Business Administration finance major was drawn to the Information Technology Systems in Supply Chains course. Even so, she says, the experience exceeded her expectations in terms of what she learned and the fun she had.

She learned to work with SAP® enterprise resource planning software, a powerful, complex, widely used business program. But instruction was not limited to bookwork. The experience-based learning approach of the class meant hands-on training, which taught Tanenbaum how to use the advanced software tool to track a supply chain from the purchase of raw materials to finished product, and gave her a skill that will shine on her résumé and catch the eye of prospective employers.
