Last week, we here at the school celebrated our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. The turkey, trimmings, and desserts offered a nice excuse to mingle, talk, and laugh—an appropriate beginning to the holiday season. I hope you'll have the chance to share this season with those who are important to you and to reflect on the people and activities that bring meaning to your life. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Alumnus Takes on Not-for-profit World and Alzheimer's Epidemic Angela Timashenka Geiger (MBA '97, A&S '92) never pictured herself making a career in the not-for-profit world. But, as she's learned, nonprofits—like the Alzheimer's Association for which she is the chief strategy officer—have big problems to solve, and the analytic skills fostered by the MBA can be channeled to solve those big problems. Geiger and several colleagues edited The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Takes on Alzheimer's. Released in October, the report demonstrates that women are at the epicenter of the Alzheimer's epidemic and details the disease's impact on the workplace.
