Ellen Langas Campbell at the national store debut of Smart Alex, Barnes & Noble, Exton, Pa. - Girls Know How is a series of books—including Will Stephanie Get the Story?, Raising the Roof, and Smart Alex—written by Ellen Langas Campbell (MBA '80) that encourage readers ages 8-12 to explore careers. Langas Campbell—the founder of NouSoma Communications, Inc., a marketing, publishing, and public relations company in Downingtown, Pennsylvania—launched the book series April 23 on QVC This Morning with host Pat James-DeMentri. Each book in the series features a girl presented with a challenge who is encouraged by an accomplished woman at the pinnacle of her career, a character based on a real-life successful woman.

- Denis Collins (PhD '90), an associate professor of business at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, has published a new book, Essentials of Business Ethics: Creating an Organization of High Integrity and Superior Performance (Wiley, 2009). The book provides practical "how-to" examples and best practices for managing ethics inside organizations and creating a culture of high integrity and superior performance. Ethical Corporation Magazine, said the book is "Full of practical examples...A great 'nuts and bolts' overview" (March 2009).

Nick Kayafas- Nicholas "Nick" Kayafas (BBA '54, MBA '60), a retired corporate manager of safety and health at a multibillion dollar corporation, attempts to explain the phenomena of unemployment or underemployment in his book Welcome to the Poverty Class: The Growing Unemployment and Underemployment Problem (RoseDog Books, 2008). The books provides an analysis of the economic factors that may have contributed to the current epidemic of joblessness as well as to the recession.
