The Certificate Program in Leadership and Ethics (CPLE) is a unique opportunity for College of Business Administration (CBA) students who wish to explore the relationship between leadership and ethics. It contributes to a student's preparation for a career in business by helping to foster contacts with organizations committed to leadership and ethics.

Allen, who spoke at Katz/CBA on September 19, 2007 said, “I salute
your vision in founding the Berg Center in 1999 B.E., or ‘before
Enron,’ as Dr. Brad Agle (Katz/CBA associate professor and founding
director of the Berg Center) likes to say…Because how people apply
their skills–and how people conduct themselves through the decisions
they made—has never been more important to the American economy,
capital markets and the people all around you,” said Allen.
Dressed in business attire and equipped with PowerPoint presentations representing hours of research and deliberation, 22 teams of Pitt MBA students recently made presentations to national and local ethics experts during the Fifth Annual Ethics Case Competition, cosponsored by the Berg Center.
This international award is given for demonstrated leadership in
integrating social impact and/or environmental management topics
into business-school courses and curriculum, as well as for generating
cutting-edge scholarship with a focus on social impact and/or environmental
management.
