Checklist of Courses and Requirements (16 credits + internship)

  • BUS ENV 0060H - CPLE Section of Ethics and the Business Environment (3 credits)
  • BUS ENV 1701 - Ethical Leadership Fundamentals (1 credit)
  • BUS ENV 1755 - Service Learning in Organizations (3 credits)
  • BUS ENV 1765 - Leadership in the Social Environment (3 credits)
  • Functional Elective in Leadership and Ethics (3 credits from the list of courses below)
  • BUS ENV 1775 - Capstone Seminar in Ethics and Leadership in Organizations (3 credits)

Functional Elective Options:

Students have to choose one course from the functional electives listed below:

  • For students majoring in Accounting: BUS ENV 1760: Business Law; or BUS ACC 1210: Financial Statement Analysis
  • For students majoring in Finance: BUS ENV 1760: Business Law; or BUS FIN 1331: Institutions and Markets
  • For students majoring in Marketing: BUS MKT 1427: Public Relations Management; or BUS MKT 1485: Projects in Marketing
  • For students majoring in General Management: BUS HRM 1665: Negotiation; or BUS ORG 1660: Women and Men at Work
  • Other elective courses (BUS SPP 1665: Board Governance and Management)
  • Study Abroad program in Leadership and Ethics
  • BUS ENV 1750: Internship
  • Internship in major or BUS 1900 + two additional CPLE internship assignments

All CPLE students must also complete at least one internship position during their time in the program. While this is not a for-credit requirement, any reasonable internship position that could be listed on a resume fulfills this requirement.
