Berg Center Bowling Party: CPLE Students Network with Business Professionals

New CPLE Alumni Council Formed

The inaugural class of CPLE students graduating in April have formed an Alumni Council. Preliminary priorities include maintaining an alumni database, creating social and networking events and activities, mentoring underclassmen, and providing feedback to help refine and strengthen the program. Anyone interested in submitting suggestions to or getting involved with the Alumni Council should contact one of the council members: Jamie Ennis, Dan Erin, Kim Jones, Liz Misero, Andrew Reichert, or Chris Tomasetti.

Phi Beta Lambda Competitiors Take 1st and 4th Places in State and National Ethics Competitions >

The Berg Center's support helped to send PBL's Business Ethics Team to ethics competitions at the Pennsylvania State Leadership Conference in April and the National Leadership Conference in June.

Dr. Barry Mitnick Voted Program Chair Elect

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Barry Mitnick, Berg Center faculty research director, has recently been voted Program Chair Elect in the division specializing in business ethics (Social Issues in Management Division) of the primary professional association for management professors (Academy of Management).

MEDRAD Receives National Business Ethics Award >

One of the companies chosen as recipient of the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards for 2005, MEDRAD, has been named one of three recipients of the National Business Ethics Awards.
