CBA congratulates Associate Professor Bob Gilbert and the 23 CBA marketing students enrolled in his Projects in Marketing class. The group recently won a national marketing competition sponsored by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and organized by EdVenture Partners. The competition, The Accord Coupe Marketing Challenge: New Car, New Generation, allowed students at 17 colleges across the country to compete against each other in raising awareness and purchase consideration for the 2008 Honda Accord Coupe on their respective campuses.
CBA students now have 24/7 access to career development tools through SIMON Underground, a Web site that utilizes the latest technology to provide CBA students access to career development tools such as video workshops, e-tutorials, podcasts, and blogs.
One of the strengths of Katz/CBA is its world-class faculty. In addition to producing outstanding research, the faculty provides a quality of teaching that is unsurpassed. At the April graduation ceremonies, Katz/CBA honored faculty, both full- and part-time, who contributed to the graduating students' success and satisfaction.
For many undergraduates, the task of initiating monumental change in business may seem daunting, but for the members of the Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association, it is their everyday mission: “Transforming the corporate world through diversity.” With this mission as its members’ motivation, RCMBA has become one of the most successful and highly-visible CBA student organizations.
CBA senior Erin Scheihing began to develop her interest in service at the age of three - while watching Sesame Street. Today, poised to graduate from the Pitt College of Business Administration, she is putting the finishing touches on an academic record in which she combines an accounting major and certificates in leadership/ethics and American Sign Language Studies.
According to the most recent annual report of the Pitt Study Abroad Office, the number of CBA students studying abroad rose significantly last year. Students studied in a wide range of countries, including Australia, Spain Germany, India, Thailand, Bulgaria, and Cyprus.
