University of Pittsburgh

Admissions

Current Pitt Students

The College of Business Administration is dedicated to helping you develop as a management professional. CBA offers a variety of high-quality academic programs to help you prepare for a career in business. To earn the BSBA degree, you must complete a minimum of 120 credits, which includes a minimum of 54 credits in the arts and sciences, 42 credits in the core business curriculum, and 15–22 credits in major coursework.

Students enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences, the College of General Studies, or another Pitt campus can complete the first 30 credits of the CBA curriculum. Prior to entering CBA, you can complete required prerequisites to business courses and begin fulfilling the BSBA general-education requirements.

You will not be eligible to take CBA courses until you have been admitted to CBA.

How to Apply

Current Pitt students enrolled in another academic program (or at another Pitt campus) may apply for admission to CBA by completing an Academic Program Change form. Program-change forms may be obtained from the academic program in which you’re currently enrolled. CBA admits students for each of the three semesters: fall (August), spring (January), and summer (May). You are encouraged to complete the Academic Program Change form well in advance of the semester in which you want to enroll.
