Requirements

  1. Year in School: must be at least a second semester freshman
  2. GPA: must be at least a 2.75. If your GPA is below, please write a cover letter explaining why you should be considered for the program and submit it along with your application.
  3. Number of Weeks of Internship: 10
  4. Hours per week: 10
  5. Assignments: will be assigned by faculty advisor
  6. Performance Appraisals: will be filled out by your internship supervisor and returned to CBA Career Services and your faculty advisor at the midpoint and end of the semester
  7. In order to apply for this internship, your employer MUST BE REQUIRING you to take the internship for credit. This will be verified by CBA Career Services staff

Application Process

  1. Download the Elective Internship Application
  2. Application MUST be filled out in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be processed
  3. You and your work supervisor must sign the application prior to turning it in
  4. Submit your application, along with a hire letter and job description on company letterhead, to CBA Career Services
  5. If your application is approved, you and your academic advisor will be notified. If you need to drop a class at this time, please communicate that with your advisor
  6. You are responsible for contacting Dr. Neff regarding your internship assignments.
