  BUS 1995 - Study Abroad [not Pitt in London] Internship
  BUSENV 1750 - Leadership and Ethics Internship
  BUSHRM 1690 - Human Resources Internship
  BUSMIS 1615 - MIS Internship
  BUS 1720 - Operations Management Internship
  BUSSPP 1790 - Strategic Management Internship
Credits: 3
Internship for Credit Type: Functional, may replace a major elective
Course Prerequisites: dependent on your certificate/concentration, see CBA Career Services or Academic Advising
Faculty Advisor: dependent on your certificate/concentration

Requirements

  1. GPA: must be at least a 2.75. If your GPA is below, please write a cover letter explaining why you should be considered for the program and submit it along with your application.
  2. Number of Weeks of Internship: 10
  3. Hours per week: 10
  4. Assignments: will be assigned by faculty advisor
  5. Performance Appraisals: will be filled out by your internship supervisor and returned to CBA Career Services and your faculty advisor at the midpoint and end of the semester

Application Process

  1. Download the Internship Application
  2. Application MUST be filled out in its entirety. Incomplete applications will not be processed
  3. You and your work supervisor must sign the application prior to turning it in
  4. Submit your application, along with a hire letter and job description on company letterhead, to CBA Career Services
  5. CBA Career Services staff will review your application and sign off on it. You will then be contacted to pick up your application and have it signed by your faculty advisor.
  6. Bring the application, signed by your faculty advisor, back to CBA Career Services
  7. When your application is approved, you and your academic advisor will be notified. If you need to drop a class at this time, please communicate that with your advisor
  8. You are responsible for contacting your faculty advisor regarding your internship assignments
