Certificate Students Participate in Poster Session

The David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership recently held a poster session featuring the work of CBA students enrolled in the Certificate Program in Leadership and Ethics (CPLE).The event was held in the Mervis Hall atrium, and was designed to showcase the CPLE students’ involvement and impact as leaders.

During the event, juniors enrolled in the CPLE displayed posters detailing a critical incident they had experienced as leaders during their time at Pitt. Critical incidents ranged from one encountered on a study abroad program in Thailand to an experience that happened while coaching a girls’ soccer team to a challenge faced while helping to manage the campus radio station. Pitt Business students, faculty, and staff were able to browse through the posters, meet the CPLE students, and learn more about their experiences. Pitt Business Dean John Delaney, CBA Associate Dean Palascak, and numerous faculty and staff members were in attendance.

The CPLE places a strong emphasis on students gaining multiple hands-on experiences with leadership and ethics during a student's time at Pitt. These experiences can occur in the context of curricular activities, internships, and extracurricular activities.

An academic option for CBA students, the CPLE is completed in addition to the BSBA degree. For more information about the CPLE, visit www.business.pitt.edu/berg/cple/.
