After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Les Scales accepted a position from PNC Financial Services Group in their corporate credit-policy training program.
As a CBA student, Les was involved with a number of campus organizations. He served as president of the Robert Clemente Minority Business Association and was a member of both the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Ambassadors for Christ. He has also participated on the finance committee of CBA’s Women in Business club and served as a mentor to freshmen in the CBA Living Learning Community in the dorms. Les is a cofounder of the START Team, a group of students who assist CBA’s Career and Leadership Development Center with professional development programming. He teaches Sunday School at the Union Baptist Church of Swissvale.
As a student intern with PNC, Les received the PNC Fellows Award and distinction as the INROADS Intern of the Year for the Pittsburgh/Erie Market.
