Business Majors

The College of Business Administration’s primary degree program leads to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). Students can earn the BSBA in accounting, finance, general management, global management, or marketing.

Accounting

Accounting majors acquire technical accounting knowledge as well as the analytical, communication, and financial-analysis skills required in today's complex business environment. CBA provides students with the general, business, and accounting knowledge necessary for success as professional accountants and as financial executives in industry.

Finance

Finance majors develop analytical skills and problem-solving abilities required for successful business careers. CBA gives students a thorough understanding of the theoretical financial principles and the practical implementation of these principles in the world of business.

General Management

General-management majors are often students interested in more than one business discipline. Courses with significant international content are offered in several areas.

Global Management

The global management major enables students to develop expertise in the management of people, processes, and policies in a global context. Areas of focus include the management of people across national and cultural boundaries; supply chain and operations; international economics; and global environment, policy, and regulations. The major also includes foreign language and study abroad components.

Marketing

Marketing majors develop the conceptual background and practical skills necessary to pursue careers in retailing, sales management, marketing research, advertising and promotion, consumer-product marketing, or industrial marketing.
