The Career and Leadership Development Center regularly offers these career-oriented services and workshops.

Additional career tools are available for enrolled students on the CBA online community at my.pitt.edu. The CBA community is a password-protected resource for the use of CBA students, faculty, and staff.

Business Interviewing Workshop

Find out how to increase your chances of getting your job or professional experience of choice. We focus on interviewing strategy and approaching an interview with educated confidence.

Corporate Information Sessions and Site Visits

Companies regularly visit campus to speak to CBA students about the opportunities for both internships and full-time positions. Many corporations invite CBA students to tour their facilities on-site. Students are able to identify the corporate climate, attend programmed events, and network with employees.

Individual Coaching

Personalized coaching is available in such areas as professional development, strategic interviewing, and job-placement planning. Learn how you can make sure you are exploring all of your options.

Informational Interview Workshop

See how to expand your professional network.

Mock Interviews

Mock interviews are conducted on an individual basis to provide practice for students about to enter the internship or permanent-placement market.

Negotiating Job Offers Workshop

This workshop defines parameters for negotiating the ever-important first job offer, including noncash benefits.

Networking Workshop

Attend this workshop and identify specific skills to learn.

Portfolio Workshop

Learn the value of a portfolio and the process of creating one specific to your area of interest.

Researching Corporations Workshop

Learning how and what to research sets you apart in interviews and networking. 

Résumé Development and Strategy Workshop

Learn the specific strategy that helps give you an edge in interviewing. We also touch on the cover letter. Come to a resume workshop for specifics.

Student Education and Leadership Specialists (SEALS)

These are upper-level CBA students dedicated to assisting freshman and sophomore students. SEALS help CBA freshmen and sophomores adjust to campus life and start on the road to professional development.
