LLC Participates in Arts Outing
On Friday evening, November 14, members of the CBA Living Learning Community explored "Life on Mars"-the Carnegie International exhibit which, according to the Web site, "focuses on the increasingly relevant question of what it means to be human in the world today." The evening consisted of a docent-led tour of the "Life on Mars" exhibit, followed by dinner and discussion at Lulu's Noodles on Craig Street. Accompanying the twenty LLC students were Associate Dean Ed Palascak, Resident Assistant Melinda Gorentz, and Kathy Rafferty, Academic Advisor and Liaison to the CBA Living Learning Community.
One of the goals for the CBA LLC is to assist the students in taking advantage of the many resources available through CBA, the University of Pittsburgh, and the city of Pittsburgh while providing experiences that will help them to become well-rounded, culturally literate world citizens. Toward that end, it has been a tradition for Associate Dean Palascak to facilitate an annual arts-based and dinner outing for members of the LLC.
