Description
The European Business School (EBS), founded in 1971, has been a pioneer in education and executive education for leaders in global markets. Everyone here, whether student, teacher or researcher, contributes to the undisputable reputation of EBS.
The school is located in the Rhine-Main area that is one of Europe's economically strongest regions and boasts more than 32,000 companies, including 2,200 high-tech production plants, sales and services enterprises and a population of 4.7 million. In geographical terms, EBS is situated in the heart of Europe.
In addition, EBS is within easy reach of Frankfurt, the financial metropolis with more than 430 national and international financial institutions including the European Central Bank.
EBS is situated among the vineyards of the Rheingau, in the romantic valley of the River Rhine, which with its medieval castles and monasteries, and its beautiful landscape is recognized as a world-heritage site by UNESCO.

Eligibility
Prospective exchange students to EBS need to be:
- registered as a full-time student at one of our partner universities and officially nominated by the home university
- have a minimum 3.0 QPA
- fluent in English and, if interested in taking classes in German, demonstrated proficiency

- For Fall Term: March 1st
- For Spring Term: September 15th

Housing
- Off-Campus housing is available
- EBS does not offer on-campus housing and accommodation in the area is difficult to find. Thus, EBS Housing has created a database with available and suitable flats to help international students to find accommodation. All accommodation is furnished and equipped with varying levels of household appliances. This service works on a "first come first serve basis" with exception of EBS managed accommodation with 40 places. When the student is officially accepted for a semester at the EBS s/he will receive a login to the data base, can chose an accommodation and has to book with the housing coordinator. Approximate Living Costs (in local currency)
- Accommodation: € 300 to € 450/month
- Food: € 250/month
- Public Transport: € 50/month
- Health Insurance - HTH through Pitt or comparable provider -varies on length of stay
- Books and classroom materials: Max € 50/course
- Total: from € 700 to € 900 per month
Financial Aid/Scholarships
State, Federal, and campus-based financial aid, with the exception of Federal Work-Study, will in most cases apply to a student's study abroad experience. Students should contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid in order to verify all Financial Aid eligibility information. In order for a student's financial aid to apply, s/he must complete the Study Abroad Contract. Once a student speaks to a financial aid representative, that representative will sign the student's contract. At this meeting, students should be prepared to discuss the Cost of Attendance Increase Form.

- Personal Laptop strongly recommended (compulsory for most of courses)
