From the East
Via PA Turnpike (I-76), take Exit 57 (Monroeville) to I-376 West, then Exit 3B, Oakland. Turn right at the stop sign onto Bates Street. Follow Bates until it dead-ends at Bouquet Street. Make a left at the stop sign, follow Bouquet to the first stoplight, and turn right on Forbes Ave. Get in the far left lane and at the next light, turn left onto Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning is on your right). Go through the next light (crossing Fifth Ave.) Soldiers & Sailors garage is immediately on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across from the Cathedral of Learning at 4227 Fifth Avenue (adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, PAA). Take elevators to 5th floor classrooms.
From the West
Via the PA turnpike (I-76), take Exit 28 (Cranberry) and follow I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left of I-79). Follow 279 into city, to the I-376 Monroeville exit. Follow 376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Forbes Avenue leads right into the Pitt campus. Follow Forbes Ave for about a mile, through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning is on your right). At next stoplight, go straight (crossing Fifth Ave). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral at 4227 Fifth Ave. (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). Take elevators to 5th floor classrooms.
From the North
Take I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79). Follow I-279 into the city, to the I-376 Monroeville exit. Follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Forbes Avenue leads right into the Pitt campus. Follow Forbes Ave for about mile, through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). Go straight at stoplight (crossing Fifth Ave). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. From the South
Take I-79 North, then I-279 North through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and across the bridge to the I-376 Monroeville exit on the right, then follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Follow Forbes Ave for about mile, thru several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). Go straight at stoplight (crossing Fifth Ave). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral at 4227 Fifth Ave. (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). By Air
From the Pittsburgh International Airport: If driving from the airport take RT 60 S, head toward Pittsburgh (16 miles) to RT 279. Continue through the Fort Pitt Tunnels, follow signs for RT 376 toward Monroeville. Follow RT 376 to Forbes Ave./Oakland Exit. Follow Forbes Ave. for about mile, thru several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). Go straight at stoplight (crossing Fifth Ave.). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral at 4227 Fifth Ave., 5th floor (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). Take elevators to 5th floor classrooms.

From Downtown Pittsburgh
A bus from downtown costs $1.75* (one way). Exact fare is required. From the bus stops on Fifth Avenue, take the 71 (A, B, C, or D) or 61 (A, B, or C) to Bigelow Blvd. in Oakland.
