- Certified Management Accountant® Learning System

- Enhance your financial decision-making skills in a course that prepares you for the CMA® exam, while also advancing your career and salary potential. The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA®) curriculum focuses on financial statement analysis, corporate finance, risk management, performance measurement, and professional ethics. Class begins February 20, 2012 and runs through May 2.
- Business Essentials for Dental Practices

- Develop business skills that will help your dental practice grow and prosper. You learn marketing, financial analysis, budgeting, and leadership skills from Katz Graduate School of Business faculty in a program created in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. Classes are scheduled March 23-25, 2012 and June 8-10, 2012.
- Culture Shock of Joint Venture Calls for Custom Leadership Program

- The Marcellus Shale energy boom has spurred a number of joint ventures. To help one partnership adjust to its new culture, the Center for Executive Education at the Katz School created a custom leadership and management program.
- Management Essentials Online

- The Katz School will offer another session of Management Essentials Online on March 5, 2012. The decade-old, 11-week online program focuses on business ethics, financial accounting, marketing, leadership, and communication. Register online.
- Global Executive Forum in India, November 9-15, 2011

- Explore the political, cultural, and economic landscape of India, and learn the secrets to success of doing business in India during this one-week international immersion: the Global Executive Forum in India.
- University of Pittsburgh's Anne Nemer named 2011 Women in Business Award Recipient

- The Pittsburgh Business Times honored 15 Pittsburgh-area women at its annual Women in Business awards event, held March 16 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The award is given annually to a group of business professionals who have exhibited exceptional leadership, business growth and development, and involvement in the community. Among this year's class of 15 honorees was Anne Nemer, assistant dean for executive programs for the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
- Maya Design Prepping Two Companies to Go Out On Their Own

- Design and research firm MAYA Design is spinning out one start-up, with another waiting in the wings. The company, which has a history of taking its ideas, incubating them and then creating start-up companies, is currently spinning out LUMA Institute, aimed at teaching businesses how to embrace design ideas. Luma Institute will be on site to present Design Thinking. Attend this program to learn methods to spark innovation at your company.
- Score One for the Management and Leadership Program

- This summer, when future leaders traveled to Pittsburgh from Brazil and the Czech Republic to attend the Management and Leadership Program (MLP)—offered by the Center for Executive Education, in partnership with the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership, and the International Business Center—they anticipated two weeks of study abroad under renowned Pitt Business faculty, an inside look at PPG Industries (PPG), and an interactive and competitive capstone experience in social responsibility in global business. They also expected to network with others throughout their stay. What they didn't expect was a bonding experience with peers while rooting for their home teams in the World Cup.
- Students from IIM Indore Participate in Innovatie Executive Leadership Certificate

- In early February, 39 executive students from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore arrived in Pittsburgh to attend the inaugural leadership program offered by the Center for Executive Education (CEE) of the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Despite the worst snowfall in twenty years, the group immediately dived into a challenging curriculum that included faculty presentations, company tours, and talks given by business leaders.
