CEE Partners with Avid Learner
Avid Learner, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based human resource development consulting firm, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Center for Executive Education in the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz School of Business.
The Center for Executive Education (CEE) is one of the nation's first university-based management development facilities. Since 1949, the CEE has offered graduate level business instruction and for the first time will be partnering with Avid Learner to offer a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness. This certificate will be comprised of the following three programs: C-Level Communications, Leadership, Followership and Star Performance, and Cross Organizational Influence.
"Our partnership with Avid Learner represents a continual review and refinement of management development resources offered through the Center for Executive Education," said Anne Nemer, Assistant Dean and Director of Center for Executive Education. "The unique content Avid Learner provides will enable managers to operate more effectively in today's global market and influence change through increased individual and team effectiveness. The results are powerful and lasting for organizations and individuals alike. We are thrilled to bring these new opportunities to CEE clients in the Pittsburgh region and beyond."
Avid Learner's mission is to help organizations develop and retain knowledge workers -those employees who add value to their organizations by developing innovative solutions to complex problems and by implementing ideas to help grow market share, improve financial performance, delight customers, and strengthen organizational capabilities. For more than ten years, Avid Learner has been offering high-quality development experiences for companies throughout the world. Its programs are based on groundbreaking research into knowledge worker productivity documented in the book How to Be a Star at Work: Nine Breakthrough Strategies You Need to Succeed, by Dr. Robert Kelley.
As part of the partnership, Avid Learner and Pitt's Katz School of Business will co-market Avid Learner's development programs, and participants in Avid Learner's programs will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Center for Executive Education, one of the first and leading executive education centers in the world.
"We are excited to be entering into this partnership with the Katz School of Business and the Center for Executive Education," said David Huffner, one of Avid Learner's principals. "We see this as a great opportunity to be associated with one of the most respected universities in the world. The combination of the Pitt brand and our unique and powerful content will help all our client learners increase their credibility and add tremendous value to their organizations."
