Giving Back to the Community

Leadership requires dedication and a strong value system. Leaders constantly make decisions that affect shareholders, employees, customers, communities, and the world. A leader must be able to justify and balance these decisions. Market forces compete with social consciousness in an environment without an answer sheet. Leaders must therefore be prepared to address a wide variety of issues and problems and to employ diverse resources to reach good decisions.

At the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration we emphasize ethical leadership and the importance of giving back to the community. Our student organizations and clubs regularly participate in community service projects that permit them to give their time and talent to help others.

This past year, our students have participated in numerous service projects, including:

The Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association (RCMBA) hosts the Academic Options Conference through its 1st Step Toward Excellence and Professionalism (1st STEP Program).

Helping Out at the Center for Creative Play
