Global Business Project (GBP)
The Global Business Project Consortium offers first-year MBA students an opportunity to work on an international business project in a foreign country. In the inaugural year of the program, there were projects in Brazil, China, and Japan. This multi-semester course required the students to work in virtual teams, to visit their project countries in May 2008 and to complete the project in Fall 2008. Four University of Pittsburgh MBA students were accepted to participate in the project. Two of them did projects in China, one did a project in Japan, and one did a project in Brazil. They visited their project countries in May 2008. Poland has been added as a destination for 2009. Three University of Pittsburgh MBA students have been accepted into the 2009 program. Two of them will do projects in Japan, and the third one will do a project in Brazil.
