In cooperation with the World Affairs Council who hosted the fifth annual WorldQuest competition on October 2008. Last year, along with the Katz Business School, more than 30 teams and businesses in the region participated.
Congratulations to the Katz WorldQuest competition team! The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business team captured third prize in this fifth annual world trivia competition sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. There were 31 teams representing universities throughout southwestern Pennsylvania as well as international companies and organizations from around the region. The diversity of Katz students proved to be a great advantage since team members came from Chile, Germany, India, and the United States. While this is the first year that Katz sponsored a team, it will not be the last so be sure to try out for next year's team in September 2009. Thank you to Patricia Hermenault for organizing the team and congratulations to team members: Imran Dalwai, Bob Grossic (Team Captain), Marcelo Hermosilla, Philipp Kaethe, Jan Schlichenmaier, Jennifer Swartz.
Save the date for next year's event: Wednesday, October 21, 2009. It's never too early to start recruiting your team! The IBC sponsors one to two student teams to participate in this event.
