MBA with a Concentration in Doctoral Studies

What is it?

An MBA concentration where you focus your elective credits in our Ph.D. Program. Students will complete 15 of their MBA elective credits by taking two discipline-based doctoral seminars, two research methods courses and one three credit research project with a faculty advisor.

  • The concentration enhances an applicant's competitiveness to doctoral programs by developing and demonstrating your research potential.
  • The concentration does not increase the number of credits or amount of time it takes to complete the MBA. Students completing the doctoral studies concentration will be awarded a certificate of completion.
  • The concentration is flexible. After choosing the doctoral concentration a student still has the opportunity to return to the standard elective path in the MBA program with no penalty. Any courses completed under the doctoral concentration can be counted as MBA electives, even if the student chooses not to complete the 15 credits in the doctoral certificate.

Why not...

  • Explore the academic research environment while achieving your MBA?
  • Increase your chances of being accepted into a Ph.D. Program?
  • Enhance your knowledge of scholarly research?
  • Work side by side with leading research faculty?
