Michael G. McMillan, director of ethics and professional standards at the CFA Institute, spoke with MBA and undergraduate business students about the importance of ethics and the misconceptions as to what causes ethical lapses.
The David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership was established in 1999 as part of the Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh. Our mission is to add value to organizations through ethical leadership. To accomplish this, we focus on creating and utilizing knowledge through cutting-edge research, experience-based teaching, and active community engagement. Our commitment to ethical leadership fits perfectly within the University of Pittsburgh's role as a "leader in education, pioneer in research, and partner in regional development."
At the Berg Center, we have developed a strong portfolio of programs and events that cut across our diverse array of students and corporate and community partners. To complement the strong portfolio of programs and events, the Berg Center also supports ongoing research that addresses issues of social responsibility, ethics, leadership, and sustainability, both locally and globally. Please look at the various sections of our Web site for more information about any of our programs, certificates, and special events. Feel free to contact the center for more information or any questions.
