Networking Trips and Receptions
Networking is the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or business. Your goal in networking is to generate as many referrals as possible. The more contacts you have in the field, the better your chances are of hearing about job openings.
The University of Pittsburgh is celebrating a centennial of business education. During the past 100 years, Pitt Business, which includes the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and the undergraduate College of Business Administration, has graduated more than 26,000 individuals who have made names for themselves as leaders of nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies, commanders of military units, and educators of tomorrow’s business leaders. The school likes to reach out to and these alumni across the country and around the world.
Pitt Business On The Road
“Pitt Business On The Road” brings alumni and school administrators together in major cities across the nation. These events include alumni corporate visits as well as alumni receptions that give current Katz students the chance to speak with recruiters and alumni about career opportunities. This year, the Katz School will be hosting Pitt Business On The Road receptions in Pittsburgh, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Check the alumni calendar for upcoming events.
Katz also regularly hosts events such as cocktail receptions, facility tours, and seminars with Pittsburgh area companies and professionals.
