Career Management Resources
The EMBA Worldwide program strives to provide its students and alumni with the support and resources they need to reach their professional goals at each stage of their career and to support their long-term professional and personal success.
While most EMBA students are mid-career professionals preparing for the next level of management within their sponsoring organizations or senior executives who wish to enhance their managerial and leadership abilities and knowledge, students and graduates will benefit from the Career Management Resources now available through EMBA, including:
Career Management Seminars
Various career management workshops on topics of general interest are scheduled as part of the EMBA program. In addition, optional seminars that focus on more specific career related topics will be offered throughout the year in order to help professionals manage their careers more effectively.
Targeted EMBA Networking
Self-sponsored EMBA students and students or alumni in a career transition have access to targeted EMBA networking opportunities with alumni of the program. The EMBA staff will personally introduce students/alumni to these key individuals and facilitate a targeted expansion of their networks.
Networking opportunities also exist through the Pittsburgh Executive Series which explores a wide array of topics in all areas of business administration. Networking receptions follow each presentation in the series. EMBA alumni, current students, and industry professionals are invited to attend the Pittsburgh Executive Series, a powerful conduit for networking opportunities.
Alumni Network
EMBA students can search an online directory of the nearly 30,000 Katz/CBA graduates living in more than 60 countries around the world, take advantage of career center services, access the alumni events calendar, and sign up for a permanent email address forwarding through the Katz/CBA online community. Register for the online community by visiting http://www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/PKZ/.
Executive Search Firms
EMBA maintains strong relationships with local and international executive search firms that understand the EMBA program and the profile of its students and graduates. These firms are important resources for self-sponsored EMBA students and alumni.
Executive Coaching
EMBA also maintains a network of executive coaches who are available to provide an initial assessment and recommendations, and can be contracted by students for individual coaching sessions.
CareerBeam
Brings job seekers the best company and industry research tools, international databases, and lead-generation technology available on the market.
InterviewStream
An online video-based practice interviewing system that allows you to perfect your interviewing ability, on your own schedule, in the comforts of your own home.
Armed with these career management resources, the knowledge gleaned from the EMBA program, the relationships formed with classmates from three global EMBA sites, and the support of the EMBA staff, students and alumni are equipped to reach their professional goals and propel their organizations to the next level.
