Directions to Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh
From the EAST, via PA Turnpike (I-76), take Exit 57 to I-376 West. From I-376 (the "Parkway East") take the "University of Pittsburgh/Oakland/Route 885 North" exit (Exit 3B) on to Bates Street. Turn right at the stop sign onto Bates Street. Follow Bates until it dead-ends at Bouquet Street. Follow Bouquet to Roberto Clemente Drive, turn right. Go straight at the stop sign (by Katz school & Museum lot) get in the left lane. Follow Y to the left. At stoplight, turn right on Forbes Ave. At next light, turn left on Bellefield Ave. Follow Bellefield to stoplight at Fifth Ave. Turn left on Fifth Ave. Follow Fifth Ave. to Bigelow Blvd (2 lights). Turn right on Bigelow Blvd. Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across from the Cathedral of Learning at 4227 Fifth Avenue (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, PAA). Enter Alumni Hall via Lytton Avenue . Take elevators to 5th floor .
From the WEST, via the PA turnpike (I-76), take Exit 28 (Cranberry) and follow I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left of I-79). Follow 279 into city, to the I-376 Monroeville exit. Follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Forbes Avenue leads right into the Pitt campus. Follow Forbes Ave for about 1/2 mile, through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning is on your right). At next stoplight, go straight (crossing Fifth Ave). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral at 4227 Fifth Ave (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). Enter Alumni Hall via Lytton Avenue . Take elevators to 5th floor .
From the NORTH, take I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79). From I-279 South, take Exit 21 into the city. Near downtown Pittsburgh, take Exit 59A (old Exit 14) to I-579 and follow the signs to the Monroeville exit. Take the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit; do not take the exit at I-376 East. Forbes Avenue leads right into the Pitt campus. Follow Forbes Ave for about 1/2 mile, through several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). From the SOUTH, take I-79 North, then I-279 North through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and across the bridge to the I-376 Monroeville exit on the right, then follow I-376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland exit. Follow Forbes Ave for about 1/2 mile, thru several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). Go straight at stoplight (crossing Fifth Ave). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral of Learning at 4227 Fifth Ave (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). Enter Alumni Hall via Lytton Avenue . Take elevators to 5th floor classrooms.
From the PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, exit Airport onto RT 60 S, head toward Pittsburgh (16 miles) Follow RT 279 through the Fort Pitt Tunnels, follow signs for RT 376 toward Monroeville. Follow RT 376 to Forbes Ave/Oakland Exit. Follow Forbes Ave. for about 1/2 mile, thru several traffic lights to Bigelow Blvd. Make left on Bigelow Blvd. (Cathedral of Learning will be on your right). Go straight at stoplight (crossing Fifth Ave.). The Soldiers & Sailors garage is on your left. Alumni Hall is located directly across the street from the Cathedral at 4227 Fifth Ave (Adjacent to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association). Enter Alumni Hall via Lytton Avenue . Take elevators to 5th floor .
Parking
Parking is available at Soliders and Sailors Garage. The garage is located on the corner of 5th Avenue and Bigelow Blvd. As you pass Alumni Hall on your right and the PAA, make a right onto Bigelow Blvd. The garage will be on the left.
