Pittsburgh Executive Series Presents: Performance Measurement and Management Control
Presented by Nandu Nagarajan from the Katz Graduate School of Business.
A discussion of value creation in organizations and the required understanding and management of value drivers took place. In order for an organization to create an effective strategy for value creation, value drivers have to be identified, converted into performance measures and then integrated into the management-control system. Several different management-control approaches, such as the Balanced Score Card and EVA, were addressed by Dr. Nagarajan. In the seminar some of these approaches and their relative success were discussed, as well as the need in today's dynamic business environment of approaching performance measurement from a value chain perspective.
