Pittsburgh Executive Series Presents: Building Better Morale: Understanding Perceived Organizational Support
Presented by Audrey Murrell from the Katz Graduate School of Business.
While the concept of employee morale is not new, organizations continue to struggle with how to create work environments that yield commitment and high performance as well as how to attract and retain valuable employees.
This talk focuses on the importance of employees' perceptions of "organizational support" as one key factor that can shape employee attitudes within the workplace. We will discuss ways in which behaviors, actions and policies can either strengthen or destroy perceived organizational support along with the consequences–both positive and negative–for workplace productivity.
