Presented by Kuldeep Shastri from the Katz Graduate School of Business.
The credit crisis of 2007 has affected investors all over the world and it is feared that write-offs of losses on securities linked to credit markets could reach US$1 trillion. The impact of the crisis on bank capital has been such that U.S. banks have had to call for capital infusions of more than US$250 billion. The effects of the crisis have also adversely affected the global economy. This talk examines the different factors that have contributed to this crisis and offers some suggestions for moving forward.
