Pittsburgh Executive Series Presents Intelligent Mentoring

Presented by Audrey Murrell from the Katz Graduate School of Business.

Mentoring is one of the most powerful tools at the disposal of organizations. But not all mentoring programs are equally effective and not all companies have learned how to sustain effective mentoring efforts. Dr. Audrey Murrell's presentation "Intelligent Mentoring" reveals how IBM has done it—and offers specific guidance and best practices that can be used to achieve powerful results for other organizations. Drawing on IBM's experience, as well as extensive research in this area, Dr. Murrell will discuss how organizations can build a diverse portfolio of effective mentoring programs that can strengthen organizational intelligence, build sustainable knowledge communities and promote collaboration across differences. Dr. Murrell will discuss the most effective ways to use mentoring to sustain competitive advantage and highlight lessons learned from her newly published book, Intelligent Mentoring: How IBM Created Value through People, Knowledge and Relationships. This book will be available for sale at this event.
