What are your degrees earned and from what schools?

BSBA, Duquesne University

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

I work closely with students, staff, and faculty to make sure events run smoothly. I assist in planning professional development programming, cultural events, and social events for the Katz Community. I’m the jack-of-all-trades in the MBA Suite. I’m widely known as the Katz Cruise Director!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I enjoy meeting new people and working closely with our students. I love event planning.

What is your favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh?

I am always on the go! I am very active in numerous volunteer organizations. I’m currently on the Project Bundle-Up Committee, the Alzheimer’s Foundation Longest Day Committee, and a member of the Junior League of Pittsburgh. I enjoy checking out local Pittsburgh Restaurants and events.

What are your personal hobbies?

I enjoy going out to dinner with my husband and friends, supporting the Pittsburgh music scene, watching horror movies and hanging out with my dog and two cats!

What is a little-known fact about you?

It’s not really a little-known fact any more, but I am the lead singer of an 80’s tribute band, Totally 80s! I’ve been singing since the age of 5. I was in numerous musicals and competed in district and regional chorus. 


Bev Bolden

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

I manage the student services area of the MBA program. I work very closely with the advisors to ensure that students stay on track for graduation. I also trouble-shoot various situations that may arise on a daily basis and assist in recruiting qualified diversity candidates.

What is your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place I have traveled to is Prague, I would love to visit Paris.

What is your favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh?

One of my favorite things to do in Pittsburgh is try different restaurants.

What are your personal hobbies?

I love to watch murder-mysteries on TV, spend time with my family, read love stories, watch the sunrise on the beach, go shopping, attend gospel plays, and go to church.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I am a deacon at my church, I won the Chancellors Award in 2010, I have been at Katz for 41 years, I like sports cars, and I ADORE my grandson, Vance.


Michael Chott

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

I provide support to all the activities and programs of the MBA Programs office, provide the first line of service to prospective and current students, and help in the day to day functioning of office. 

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I like the people I work with in the MBA office and I enjoy being able to interact with students on a regular basis. When you walk into the MBA suite, I am the first face you typically see and it’s a nice feeling being recognized by students who regularly come in.

What is your favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh?

There is always so much to do in Pittsburgh it seems hard to pick just one thing! Typically you can find me socializing with friends at one of the many hangouts across the city, attending as many sporting events as possible (mostly Pitt football, with the occasional Pitt basketball, Steelers, Pirates, or Penguins games), or trying out one of the amazing restaurants that are all over our city!

What is a little-known fact about you?

When I attended Pitt for my undergraduate degree I was in the University of Pittsburgh Marching Band and attended every home football game (and a few away games) for four years. As a result, I also know the words to the Pitt school songs and alma mater by heart.

Nothing beats a summer day boating on the Great Lakes, although maybe I'll return to Costa Rica when I retire someday.

Theresa Gallick

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

My job is to insert real-world experience into the Katz MBA program. I bring more than 20 years of Marketing experience from both multi-national corporations and start up tech firms. My goal is to help students create their personal brand and develop marketing strategies to promote themselves in their job search. 

What is your favorite place to travel?

I’ve travelled throughout China and love the diversity of its cities, topography, cuisine, and customs as well as the hospitality of its people. I would love to visit India someday and also hope to visit more countries in South America.

What is a little-known fact about you?

Both of my children were born in China. Most of my free time is spent with my girls and their activities. On a personal level I love to cook, garden, take photographs, and write. I’m a Pittsburgh native who has lived in many places, but always returned to this city. I enjoy Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods, restaurants, weather (honestly!), and people.

I work with a great team of highly motivated and incredibly kind people. I also think Pitt and Katz have a driven energy that is contagious!

What are your personal hobbies?

I’m an avid volleyball player year-round, I play both sand and indoor. I also love to try out all the newest restaurants, bars, and breweries as they open in the city.

What is a little-known fact about you?

My dog is named Wally after the rapper Biggie Smalls (Christopher Wallace).

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite part of my job is seeing a student grow and change through their time in the program. I get to make an impact on the lives of the students while working at a school that I love.

What is your favorite place to travel?

I traveled to Reykjavik, Iceland for my last vacation, so that’s my favorite place right now but it tends to change with every trip I take!

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

In my role I work closely with our team to plan and execute on and off campus recruiting events, including Reps on the Road, Diversity Student Weekend, and Admitted Student Weekend. Within the Admissions process I'm also actively involved with overall and diversity recruitment, interviews, and referring candidates for admission.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love my job because I have the opportunity to work one on one with students and help them to make their dreams a reality through Higher Education. I also feel very fortunate to be a part of their journey from the beginning, to graduation, and hopefully beyond.

What is your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place that I’ve traveled to would have to be Acapulco, Mexico as my family spent almost every summer there when I was younger. Now as an adult I hope to eventually visit Cuba as I am first generation Cuban American on my mom’s side and I would like to experience firsthand the beauty and history I grew up hearing about.

What are your favorite things to do in Pittsburgh>

I enjoy serving as the Founder and President of the University of Pittsburgh Hispanic Latino Professional Association, getting together with friends, taking our pup for walks around North Park and Downtown, watching the sunset at Point State Park, and exploring the city with my husband.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I spoke Spanish before I spoke English so although I was born and raised in Texas I never developed an accent.

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

I advise all part-time MBA students by email, phone, and in person. I provide assistance to students with course enrollment, degree planning, and interpreting University and Katz academic policies.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about working for Katz is that I get to work with others that value and take pride in going to extra mile to meet the needs of our wonderful students. In my role specifically, I sincerely enjoy meeting with students to help them create a plan to make the most of their educational career. It’s such a joy to see students meet their goals by the time graduation rolls around!

What is your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place to travel is the Cayman Islands. I love how relaxed everyone is and I enjoy snorkeling in the crystal clear water! I would like to eventually visit Ireland because I have family that lives there that I’ve never met.

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

I work with our students concentrating in Operations and I counsel them through the career search process. I also help connect them to top companies and industry professionals and create professional development workshops throughout the year.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite moments in this job are when our students show us the funny side of their personality, because everyone needs to laugh at work! I also love the collective excitement and mini-celebrations we have as a team when a student gets a great job offer. It’s awesome to share in the students’ excitement. I also like that we have a small program feel with a strong reputation and incredibly talented people. Finally, I have a love/hate relationship with the amount of tasty food we always have around.

What is your favorite place to travel?

I went to Ireland in 2014 for my honeymoon and I ate fish and chips about seven times.

What are your personal hobbies?

I love volleyball, photography, and random crafting. My ideal day in Pittsburgh involves a walk in Frick Park with my dog, a tasty meal at D’s in Regent Square, a sporting event of any kind, and stopping to grab a beer at any of the local breweries.

What is a little-known fact about you?

I have a slight obsession with puns and Broadway musicals.

What are your responsibilities in your current role?

My position focuses on four major areas: helping students develop professionally; developing and building relationships with companies and recruiters; interviewing potential students interested in MIS or OB/HR for admission to Katz; and connecting our alumni to current students.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I thoroughly enjoy working with students. Learning about their backgrounds and cultures is fascinating to me. Seeing them grow throughout the program and knowing that I have just a little piece in helping them become successful is extremely rewarding. For me this is much more than a job, it is my passion!

What is your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place outside of the U.S. is the Caribbean. I have cruised all over the Caribbean and Mexico and would love to visit Italy because it is where my husband’s family is from. I would also love to travel to India because it is where a majority of my students have been from through the years and Hawaii because it is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I was a professional model in the 1980’s through the early ‘90s. I also competed in the Miss Teen Pittsburgh pageant.

I work primarily with finance students in the MBA and MS programs. I partner them to clarify their career goals, build their master’s career documents, identify opportunities for professional development, and prepare for their post MBA or MS positions.

The number of opportunities for both students and staff to get involved whether it be on a professional level or for fun. It is a great campus.

I love going to Kennywood! My favorite ride is the Racer Roller Coaster. My son and I have a running competition to see which car wins. This season he is beating me.
