MBA/MS-Engineering (Full-time)

Total 64.5 credits (minimum)
IE candidates who do not have a bachelor of science in industrial engineering are additionally required to take the one-credit course IE 2000: Intro to IE.

  • Business, 39 credits minimum (Required/Core 27; Project 1.52; Electives 10.5)
  • Engineering, 25.5 credits minimum (Core 12; Project 1.5; Electives 12)

MBA/MS-Engineering (Part-time)

Total 69 credits (minimum)
IE candidates who do not have a bachelor of science in industrial engineering degree are additionally required to take the one-credit IE 2000, Intro to IE, course

  • Business, 43.5 credits minimum (Required/Core 31.5; Project 1.5; Electives 10.5)
  • Engineering, 25.5 credits minimum (Core 12; Project 1.5; Electives 12)

1 For more information about the MBA/MS-Industrial Engineering program, consult with either the graduate coordinator or program coordinator.

2 Consulting Field Projects earn a total of 3 credits, 1.5 credits each in business and engineering.

Nine credits of MS in Engineering courses will count toward satisfying the MBA requirements, and 4.5 credits of MBA courses will count towards satisfying the MS in Engineering requirements.

Notes:

  1. The worksheet will help students plan their coursework in the program. Given the nature of the part time program, with students starting in different terms, it is not possible to provide a specific sample schedule.
  2. Staff from the MBA Office and faculty advisers from the Business and Engineering Schools are available for advice and guidance on course planning and scheduling.
  3. In general, the specific sequence of courses will depend on course availability in specific terms and prerequisites specified for elective courses.
  4. Students may take only Business, only Engineering, or a mix of courses in any term - i.e., they are not limited to taking courses from just one of the Schools.
