When We Work With You
The MBA Career Service team serves as the bridge between Katz students and our corporate recruiting partners, and works with each audience in the manner that best serves the mutual needs of both groups. Read more about when we interact with you:
- Full-Time MBA Students
- Full-time MBA students are eligible to work with Career Services once they have matriculated into the program.
- If you are a student in the two-year MBA program or a dual-degree program, you may participate in one internship recruiting season and one full-time/permanent recruiting season before graduating.
- If you are enrolled in the one-year MBA program, you may participate in one full-time/permanent recruiting season prior to graduation. (One-year students are not eligible for internship recruiting.)
- Part-Time MBA Students
- Students in the Part-time MBA program who have completed 34 or more credits by the end of May of any given year, and expect to graduate in December, April, June, or August of the following academic year, are eligible to register to work with the CSC during the next academic year (from September until graduation). As a part-time student, you may participate in one full-time/permanent recruiting season prior to graduation. You will be included in the same recruiting cycle that hiring professionals focus on when seeking all MBA graduates. Fall is the most robust time for on-campus recruiting. Adhering to this cycle ensures your greatest potential for success. It is important to note that part-time students are not eligible for internship recruiting.
Timeline for Recruiting Seasons
- Internship Recruiting Season
- While some companies/industries begin internship recruiting in the fall term, internship recruiting typically occurs between January and June of each year. Recruiters usually are looking to hire interns for summer (May through August) positions.
- Full-Time/Permanent Recruiting Season
- The full-time/permanent recruiting cycle starts at the beginning of the fall term and runs through the spring and summer terms.
