Alumna Returns to the South for New Position

It is now 2009, two generations since Olenda Johnson's grandparents got on the train in Georgia and Alabama for points north—Hartford, Conn., and Pittsburgh—to start new lives in the steel mills and shipyards that built up around World War II.
