Alumni Spotlight

Alexandra Durcikova received her PhD in Information Systems from Katz in 2004. Her dissertation, titled “The Role of Organizational Climate in the Use of Knowledge Management Systems to Support Problem Solving,” was cochaired by Katz Professors Dennis Galletta and Brian Butler.

Durcikova accepted a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Information Systems in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.

Her research is in the area of knowledge management, and she has recently published in the Journal of MIS and Communications of ACM. Durcikova has also published several conference papers, including one that was nominated for a best paper award. She has numerous articles currently under review.

Durcikova has provided service to the field as review coordinator for Information Systems Research and as a reviewer for six academic journals, including the MIS Quarterly and Management Science, and six international conferences. She is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Knowledge Management and iscurrently serving as an advisor or committee member on 10 masters and PhD thesis committees.
