Pitt's Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association Hosts 70 Local High School For April 4 Academic Fair

Upperclassmen from Pittsburgh's Northside Urban Pathways Charter School have been mentored by RCMBA students for two years

PITTSBURGH-The Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association (RCMBA) will host the Academic Options Conference through its 1st Step Toward Excellence and Professionalism (1st STEP Program). The conference will be held on April 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the University of Pittsburgh's Oakland campus.

Nearly 70 juniors and seniors from the Northside Urban Pathways Charter School in Pittsburgh will be in attendance. RCMBA has had a mentoring partnership with this high school for two years. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet representatives from a number of academic departments at the University of Pittsburgh through the Pitt Options academic fair. Additionally, high school students will be able to discuss student life with a panel of current Pitt students. The panel discussion will give high school students a first-hand look at what it is like to be an undergraduate college student.

The 1st STEP program guides students through the college selection process and provides career development advice to high school students. The Academic Options Conference is sponsored by the RCMBA in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and the College of Business Administration.
