The 2009 Career Conference once again broke records for both student and corporate representative attendance. More than 550 CBA students and 100 corporate recruiters took part in the program, which allowed students to network in industries such as accounting, finance, consulting, management, marketing, sales, and retail management.

The University of Pittsburgh's African American Alumni Council (AAAC) will mark its 40th year with a Homecoming celebration of the University's diversity efforts—AAAC 2009 Sankofa Homecoming: 40 Years of Pride, Progress, and Partnership at the University of Pittsburgh. The council's goal is to host the largest number of African American alumni to ever return to campus for an event.
