On Saturday, April 18, 2026, six people and one corporation were recognized for their contributions to the Pitt Business community. The ceremony and reception were held at Alumni Hall.

  • Christoph Werner (MBA ’07) won the International Distinguished Alumnus Award
  • Karen Shastri (MBA ’82, PhD ’90 ) won the Distinguished Alumna Award
  • J. Jeffrey Fox (MBA ‘83) won the Distinguished Alumnus Award
  • William Martin (BSBA ‘02) won the Distinguished Service Award
  • Ankur Goel (MBA ‘16) won the Young Alumnus Award
  • Howard “Hoddy” Hanna III won the H.J. Zoffer Medal for Meritorious Service Award
  • Highmark Health won the Corporate Appreciation Award. This award will be accepted by Michael Barber, Senior Director of Responsible AI

Also on April 18, Pitt Business held the Women’s Leadership Conference. Each spring, the Alumnae Council works with students from all over Pitt Business to host a conference focused on women’s leadership. Participants get the opportunity to hear from a distinguished panel of female alumnae of the University of Pittsburgh, participate in round table discussions, and network with current students and other alumnae. Speakers at the event included:

  • Erin McNamara (BUS ’04), SVP of Brand & Product Strategy at American Eagle
  • Laura Hopkins (BUS ’15), Director of Marketing at United Talent Agency
