Pitt Black MBA Network
"The Pitt Black MBA Network (PBAN) has served students and alumni of African descent from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School Of Business (Katz) for ten years. During that time, PBAN Board members have partnered directly with seven city chapters of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) to actively recruit top black candidates for Katz. Last October, PBAN broke new ground by brokering an expanded agreement that formally recognizes Katz as a Diamond tier partner of the national arm of the NBMBAA. This partnership will expand Katz’s reach to strong black candidates across the country by leveraging all NBMBAA chapters, ensuring that more top candidates are made aware of our competitive scholarships and world-class programs.”- Brandon Spires, Vice President of Administration, President-Elect.
For more information about PBAN, giving opportunities, and ways to get involved, please visit our website.
Please join us in welcoming Larry Feick as Interim Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration, Jodi Weisfield as Executive Director of Development, and Kim Abel as Executive Director of the Office of Executive Education.
Audrey Murrell Endowed Fund
As a student in Pitt’s College of Business Administration (CBA), your experience was likely enriched by the dynamic teaching, capable leadership, and bold initiatives undertaken by Audrey J. Murrell, who served as professor and associate dean of the College of Business Administration before being named acting dean of the Honors College in 2019.
- Your job prospects are among the highest for business school graduates. Under Dr. Murrell’s leadership, Pitt Business was the second highest ranked public business school in Poets & Quants with a 97 percent employment rate.
- Your degree has increased in value. Thanks to Dr. Murrell’s innovative approach to business education, CBA has risen in the national business school rankings. Pitt Business climbed to No. 11 among public business schools nationwide and No. 1 among public business schools in Pennsylvania in Poets & Quants.
- Your alma mater offers exceptional international study opportunities. Dr. Murrell established the school’s first Office of International Programs, which greatly expanded business-focused study abroad programs, with 58 percent of students now participating in study abroad programs.
To honor her many accomplishments, Pitt alumnus Mark Frantz (KATZ ’96) and his wife, Megan, created the Audrey Murrell Endowed Fund to provide financial support for students enrolled in the CBA Certificate Program in Leadership and Ethics.
Join Mark and Megan by supporting the Audrey Murrell Endowed Fund. Your contribution will provide financial support for Pitt Business students who are committed to pursuing the strong leadership and ethics values Dr. Murrell has upheld and promoted.
