Current college students and recent graduates interested in seeing what it’s like to be a Master of Science student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Business, home of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, are invited to “MS for a Day” on March 27, 2026.
During this full-day, immersive experience, participants will learn about all the specialty master’s degree programs—Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Management, Marketing Science and Supply Chain Management—available at Pitt Business. The day includes discussions with admissions, a tour of the campus, a panel of current students, and an interactive class to see a professor’s engaging teaching style. Participants will also have time to network with faculty, staff and students. Breakfast and lunch are included.
Those traveling from Pitt branch campuses or communities outside of Pittsburgh can request a complimentary hotel room reservation by emailing the Pitt Business Admissions team. Rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The program for students from other universities runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. For current Pitt students and Pitt alumni, the program starts at 9:30 a.m. and includes a presentation on the Pitt2Pitt and Master Your Path scholarships. The Pitt2Pitt scholarship is available to all Pitt alumni and graduating students. The Pitt Business Master Your Path scholarship builds upon the Pitt2Pitt scholarship to offer additional financial support for those pursuing a full-time Master of Science (MS) degree at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
Business Aligns with All Undergraduate Degrees
Paige Allan (MS ’25) graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications with a minor in Graphic Design. She credits these scholarships with enabling her to “keep building on my momentum from undergrad and take advantage of everything that Katz has to offer.”
Allan decided to enroll in this MS program because it complimented her background in media and communications. “Now that I have a deeper focus on marketing science and data, I feel more confident going into roles in business analytics or project management and can bring both strategy and storytelling to the table.”
Pitt’s portfolio of advanced business degrees can help students advance, pivot or specialize.
“Our MS graduates are being hired by top companies, embarking on successful careers in technical areas of business, starting their own ventures, and becoming influencers in every industry,” says Associate Dean for MBA and Specialty Masters, Rebecca Badawy.
