Mitchell Gubin, Vice President - Entertainment Brand Solutions
Mitchell Gubin is Vice President of Entertainment Brand Solutions for the Disney Advertising Sales. Based in New York City, Gubin develops, manages and executes on-air, online and social integrated programs for many of ABC’s highly rated and high revenue generating programs. Gubin oversees the day-to-day integrated marketing operations for News, Daytime and Syndication programs such as the Emmy Award Winning “Good Morning America;” “Nightline;” “This Week”; “World News Tonight with David Muir”, “The View”, “Strahan, Sara & Keke”, “Live with Kelly & Ryan”, “Tamron Hall”; and “General Hospital.”
At ABC News, among scores of other campaigns, Gubin oversees the integrated marketing elements of the “Good Morning America” summer concert series originating from Central Park. Gubin was also responsible for all of ABC News’ brand solutions surrounding the 2008, 2014 & 2018 presidential campaign, including the highly contested debates, the historic election night and inauguration.
Gubin has been instrumental in implementing revolutionary brand solutions in “Good Morning America” by incorporating a :30 integrated commercial into weather anchor Ginger Zee’s first national forecast, a pre-produced integrated promercial that airs in the first hour of the program and GMA’s organic approach to integrate advertisers into the editorial voice of the show.
In 2018 & 2019, Gubin helped launch two new shows on the network, “Strahan, Sara & Keke” and “Tamron Hall” with outstanding success both in ratings and in client demand for custom brand solutions.
Prior to joining the ABC TV Network, Mr. Gubin worked as a Senior Manager at Comcast Spotlight, the Ad Sales division of Comcast Cable. In that role, Mr. Gubin created, managed and implemented all marketing aspects of the company’s NASCAR sponsorship including hospitality, events, production days, on-air promos and packaging opportunities.
Gubin began his career with the public assembly management firm, Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of Comcast Spectacor, as the Director of Marketing of the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ. As Director of Marketing, Mr. Gubin oversaw all marketing, public relations and group sales functions for the arena events such as hosting President George W. Bush, Disney On Ice, Sesame Street Live, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Harlem Globetrotters, a variety of concerts and many other high profile events.
Throughout his career, a multitude of Mr. Gubin's integrated marketing campaigns have been widely recognized by the industry and awarded with a Gold Halo Award, a Pro Award, two Telly Awards and a CTAM Mark Award.
Gubin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He currently lives on Long Island with his wife and three children.
