Frequently Asked Questions
Are online courses taught by Pitt Business faculty?
Yes. Online courses are taught by the same faculty and follow the same academic standards as Pitt Business on-campus programs.
What does live online learning mean?
Courses are delivered through scheduled online class sessions where students interact with faculty and classmates in real time. This approach combines flexibility with the structure and engagement of a traditional classroom experience.
Can I complete my online program without coming to campus?
Most programs require no in-person attendance. Two exceptions: the Part-Time MBA requires one on-campus visit for a capstone experience designed to bring the cohort together for applied learning, meaningful networking, and connections that extend well beyond graduation. The DBA requires a one-week, on-campus colloquium after the first and second years that focuses on preparing students for their Practicum Research Project.
